ive had this dishwasher serviced 3 times this year. constantly breaks down. quite possibly the worst appliance ive ever owned. im now in the process of shopping for a maytag or whirlpool. samsung, you really need to step it up with this one.

have it for for less than three years, since purchased it make humming noise. after one year the soap dispenser broke and i had to pay $ 150 for the part plus bleeding my hand while replacing it. now the pump is leaking and samsung are asking for almost $500 to replace the part after warranty has expired

exactly what everyone else said. we've had continuous problems with this unit since purchased just over a year ago. doesnt clean well. major ongoing problem is the "normal" (wash" button continuouslly blinks. when you power it off, wven with the door wide open, the unit will start running for 5-10 minutes. it takes a few days to clear itself out before i can run a load. unfortunately, i doubt we will go with samsung again.

it was installed and first use i hated it.
not only is it very loud it has a grinding sound like its barely wants to move or work
rack is crazy for how dishes are placed
also i end of drying by hand half the dishes
i hated it so bad after buying we ended up moving and using the appliances at new house
leaving dishwasher sitting unused at old house
well we decided to bring our brand new appliances from old house here.
sadly hubby installed the dishwasher and i hate it so much thinking about getting a different brand but would like all appliances to be same brand but might end up going with a
different brand.....don't buy this model....would give negative stars if i could

our dishwasher is less than 3 years old and will need replaced. motor makes a moaning sound, poor water spray, and constant cleaning of unit. each time we must:
* thoroughly rinse dishes, no food particles can be on the dishes
* run wash cycle, come back periodically to see if unit is leaking from the seals on door
* empty "clean dishes" leave dirty ones inside
* remove filter basket and clean
* wipe black gunk from door seal
i would never recommend this dishwasher or other samsung appliances. we have had issues with the microwave, dishwasher and refrigerator

similar to many other reviews, the exhaust fan sounds like a juicer, very, very loud, certainly not the low decibel's they claim. the lower rack is almost useless, supports too close together, perhaps for small dishes in asia, but not built for any dishes made in the u.s.

purchased all new samsung appliances 2 years ago (dishwasher, fridge, microwave, oven). two of the appliances already have problems. this dishwasher no longer completes the full cycle required to clean and dry the dishes. i've done all the troubleshooting methods provided by samsung, and it's still not working. very frustrating because the warranty is only 1yr on this unit. i'll probably have to pay for a new unit or hundreds of dollars to try an authorized repair service.

i've had mine for about 2 years now and a seal inside of it broke. it now leaks out of the bottom.

this dishwasher came new with our house a year and a half ago. i've always hated it. the glasses don't stand up in the top wrack and my plates don't fit in the bottom wrack without the sprayer arms hitting them. loading it has to be done in a particular way that's super frustrating. then the leak sensor started acting up. so now once a month it will go off and we have to uninstall the dishwasher, pull it out, unplug it and then re-install it. i want to get it serviced so it will actually work for longer than a couple weeks- but i also just want a new dishwasher that's not samsung.

i purchased all my kitchen appliances, all samsung, at home depot in 2018. i valued samsung based on our good experience with the tv. i didn't really read the reviews before my big purchase-how bad could it be, right? well, after just a few weeks, the fridge started making really loud noise, the dishwasher is by far the worst! it does not wash completely, ever! it makes a whirring sound as if the whole thing is about to collapse! i literally have to rewash 80% of dishes every single time and now i cannot afford to buy a new dishwasher! i cannot believe this is samsung. i couldn't even give this away for free as it would create more problems than anything else for the new owner! perhaps samsung should stick to the phones because appliances are not your forte!

i purchased $10,000 worth of samsung products. fridge $3800 icemaker continually froze. stove over $3000 works fine, microwave sucks fan starts by itself. lights come on by itself and the #7 continually pushes itself. the dishwasher keeps giving leak errors had it fixed and it still gives the same errors and i'm on the hook for the repair.
samsung appliances are nothing more than a pig with lipstick!!!!
this is not what i intended when i purchased these items. had i known i would have run for the hills and saved my money!

extremely glad i bought it on sale.
racks are difficult to load. glasses tip easily in the top rack. bowls only fit in a few places. bottom rack is designed for plates only so placing larger items is precarious. silverware basket has large spaces for the silverware to fall through unless you use the top covers - then it is very difficult to load and unload.
clips were missing so kinks developed in the tubing. didn't clean well - i've never had a dishwasher not able to remove chocolate. since it was repaired for a blockage and the clips were installed it does seem to be cleaning better - as long as i don't pack it.
i've had a dishwasher for many years so i do know how to load one.
will not buy another one.

this unit was brand new when i purchased my home in 2018. after removing all the packing inside, i was awed how well and quietly it ran. then the noises started about a year in. so far i have had to jb weld the impeller back onto the drain pump axle, clean the turbidity sensor, and constantly futz with the float switch. i am getting "heavy" error codes all. the. time. i'm am tired of siphoning water from the tub taking this thing apart. love my phone but no more samsung kitchen appliances. ever.

I would not recommend this dishwasher. It's extremely loud especially during start up. Dishes are always soaked when it finishes and you have to wait several hours for air dry. Just recently the rubber gasket in the pod holder came loose. Very disappointed always thought Samsung had good quality.

1st cycle the vent fan sounded like a garbage truck. The things brand new! Serviced under warranty... ok. sounds alittle better. maybe try a Noctua fan instead of your .05 junk. 4 months in now and its leaking. This is the replacement after our initial dishwasher (exact same model) broke down repeatedly in less than a year and Samsung finally replaced it under warranty. I let my husband convince me the first was just a dud and to accept the replacement instead of upgrading to a different dishwasher.
This one is broken again after less than a year. We cleaned out the filters religiously and ran cleaner through it and scraped all plates clean. Still broke.
I'm kicking myself for not upgrading. Now I get to spend hours hand washing dishes for my large family each day.

Dishwasher came with a newly constructed home. After 4 months it stopped draining, 3 inches of standing water in the bottom. It took nearly 3 weeks for a warranty service guy to come. He supposedly ordered a part. Several days after that Samsung calls to offer a "remedy" due to the prolonged time it was going to be.
The "remedy" is in the form of either a store credit for Lowe's (because the builder bought it there) or they ship me a new dishwasher of the same kind. From the reviews, this model has some significant issues so I don't want to deal with this again. I also am not buying appliances from a store that doesn't service what they sell just to save a few dollars.
I have already purchased a Bosch dishwasher to replace this piece of junk from a reputable appliance only store with a service department.
I am now waiting for all of the other Samsung appliances that the builder bought at Lowe's to go bad so I can spend even more money replacing them as well.

This dishwasher is poorly made and has so many issues with only 16 months of use, it is extremely loud when you start cycles to start with. In addition it has leaked multiple times and set off the leakage sensor. To fix, I had to pull the unit out and reset the water pump seal. It worked for a few weeks and then I replaced the seal. Then it worked for a few more weeks and was still leaking from the water pump. What a piece of junk, please don't waste your money!

Watch the video, the dishwasher had this issue within one month of operation, and AGAIN within 10 months of having the part fixed.
I purchased this dishwasher in August of 2017 and it has yet to properly function for a full year by itself after having the same part fail TWICE. After one month of use the fan on the front door (which runs constantly) started making the very loud humming/scratching sound you can hear on the attached video. Called Samsung and they replaced the part within a couple months of the initial issue through their warranty. All was good until 10 months later when the SAME PART FAILED AGAIN.
Having the same part fail MULTIPLE times within the same year, you would think they would replace the defective unit, think again. Samsung only covers their replaced part for 3 months and it was past its one-year mark from purchase (even though the dishwasher hadn't operated for a year by itself). After a couple emails back and forth they offered to replace the part. However, the technician from their contracted appliance repair company could NOT order the part from them. Samsung closed the ticket saying it was repaired and the customer service I had been working with is now trying to get me to contact other departments/people saying they can't help anymore. Four months later I still have a Defective dishwasher because the part that had already been replaced once, FAILED AGAIN, and is no longer available through Samsung. I don't understand how they can still be selling this dishwasher. Do NOT Buy.
Side note: All the appliances in my kitchen are Samsung. After my experience with their customer service and the Samsung won't stand behind their products that fail multiple times within one year of operation, I don't see myself purchasing a Samsung appliance again.

This dishwasher replaced my 20 year old dishwasher and boy what a difference. It is whisper quiet and sometimes I forget its running until I hear the ding ding to tell me it's done. It was easy to install. Doesn't really show fingerprints and wipes down easily. Loving the top control panel, has just enough options. I make sure that I bought Jet dry to put in with the pods so my dishes dry completely. Top rack adjusts up and down and it has plenty of space to hold my dishes, utensils, glasses, pots, pans, etc for a family of 5. Dishes come out clean and shiny. Great product and so glad I purchased it.

Purchased unit on January 7th, 2019; self-installed it at home the next day; it replaced an existing (different model) 5-year-old Samsung unit only because hard water had caused the rotating arms to deteriorate. The prior unit was rated at 50 decibels and was indeed quieter than this new model. However, this new model has a washing noise of water falling and spraying, like a bubbling fountain, not any mechanical noises during the cycles, and we wrapped an additional layer of insulation blanket around the new unit that we salvaged from the prior unit. The noise--if you call it that--is not bothersome; cooking, conversation, and laundry in the adjacent room all are louder than the unit operating.
Selecting options and starting the unit is simpler than any other units and brands I've had and it does indeed allow you to open the device mid-cycle; you can re-start the unit by pressing Start again, and re-closing the door. In regards to visibility of the indicator lights when door is shut, the unit does sing a chime when the cycle is finished.
Dishes do wash and dry beautifully in this unit; moisture does collect on the inside of the stainless steel door after the drying cycle, but I have heard that new dishwashers are designed to attract the moisture to the doors and walls of the unit, away and off of the dishes. Any machines built by man do deserve human attention and care and there's nothing wrong with wiping down the inner side of the stainless steel door after you've ran the unit to keep it clean and shiny. This unit also features a metal lower spinning arm, rather than a plastic one, which is a feature that I'm hoping will keep the sprayer functioning well for longer with the hard water that my house has, even with a softening system installed for the house.
The rinse aid receptacle does not have a regulator; you cannot adjust how much or how little is dispensed, which is a refreshing operational simplification.
The unit DOESN'T come with a cord, so we re-used our prior Samsung cord. It also doesn't come with a dishwasher elbow to connect to the typical, modern dishwasher water line with female ends so I bought a Dishwasher Elbow, 3/4" FHT, 3/8" Comp, 90* Elbow which connected easily.
The unit DOES come with a connected drain hose.
The handle bar matches the design of the handles on my 10-year old Samsung 2-door stainless steel fridge, a product that has never malfunctioned (including the water and ice features) that I have been very happy with--I have a lot of faith in Samsung kitchen appliances.
I've observed that the inside of the unit appears to have more vertical room for dishes than my prior tall-tub Samsung did.
I'm very happy with this dishwasher and I feel it does live up to the operational standards and quality that come with the Samsung brand. The affordability of the product is a major plus and I'm glad this model was out there waiting to be bought. My family and I named it Sammy and the fridge is now Big Sam.

The Top Control Washer with Stainless Steel door definitely does the job I bought it to do. I'll say I originally was a bit concerned as it took a bit of time for it to clean dishes th way they needed --- and also the internal shelves feel a bit flimsy. Despite all of this, the dishwasher is SOO quiet! I sometimes forget that it is even running, which is a big deal for me as most dishwashers I've had have been very loud and don't even clean well. There is definitely a learning curve with this dishwasher though ---- you will figure out the right detergent and settings to clean your dishes right and when you do, it is smooth sailing from there. I don't really even rinse my dishes anymore before I put them in , yet for the most part they are all clean and dry when I take them out.My favorite feature is the heated dry --- I have openeded it when it was drying and man it was HOT and the dishes were clean and steamy! Secondly, my other favorite feature is the top controls. I have three kids and two of them love to push buttons everywhere, and with our last dishwasher, they did it so much, it was frustrating. Well, not anymore! With the Top Control Dishwasher, all controls are unseen during cleaning so that problem in my home is no more. In considering that people realize there is a learning curve in the beginning, I would highly recommend the Samsung Top Control Dishwasher for its reliability and even more affordability!

I just received my new Samsung dishwasher and I couldn't be more pleased with the performance.
Let me begin by saying that the two gentlemen that delivered the appliance were friendly and professional and did a great job with the installation. The appliance runs like a dream and is so quiet that I hardly even know when it's running!
I've used the dishwasher to clean everything from large macaroni pots to delicate wine glasses. The adjustable racks make it so convenient for small and large items. There are also small features inside the dishwasher that can be utilized, when needed, to hold delicate items like wine glasses upright......it is just fantastic because now I don't have to wash these items by hand anymore, everything has a place in this amazing appliance!
What's also nice about the dishwasher is that all of the exterior front panels are hidden so the appliance has a sleek & clean look. It's so easy to clean! My old dishwasher was so old that it had push buttons on the front panel that were discolored and unsightly. Now I have an appliance I am proud to have in my kitchen. The fact that it is stainless steel and so easy to clean is just an extra bonus!

This dishwasher is a great dishwasher. As part of the Samsung insiders program I get to enjoy this dishwasher. The dishwasher is very quiet can't tell it is on most of the time. The stainless steel is nice and one very positive thing about the dishwasher is there is so much room in the dishwasher there is plenty of room for all dishes and worry about running out of room. The professional installation that Samsung provides is really great the installer installs all over our area and knows his stuff. The top control for the dishwasher is very great love it and it is very quiet without load sounds when it is done. Great tip use the tablets or light amount of non liquid soap with this dishwasher don't use liquid soap it will gum up your dishwasher. You can use jet dry or cascade drying solution for the drying cycle because it will make your dishes come out dry not with water on the dishes. My conclusion to this dishwasher is that it is a great dishwasher now when one of my kids monkeys with the dishwasher and stops it in the middle of washing you may have to start the dishwasher manually which is an extra step but it does a great job with the dishes. Now comparing it to the maytag dishwasher that I had previously which was a quiet series 300 which I nicknamed loudseries 300 because it ran load it is pleasant to have a dishwasher that cleans and is not loud.

New construction, builder chosen appliances. I've hated this dishwasher since day 1. These dishwasher racks were designed to wash a china service for 8 each time. We don't consume like that. (Samsung, don't reply for me to read the manual on loading, I have). My mom's thin Corelle would probably load nicely, but we have thicker ceramic plates that don't load well in these thin, angled spaces. The glasses and mugs don't load securely in the top rack. It's supposedly designed to hold wine glasses -- again, we don't consume like that. I can't get as much loaded as I could in my 20 year old JennAir that served me very well. When my husband loads, he doesn't get the concept of flow, and these thinly space racks allow him to load too tight, so dishes don't come out clean. Since day 1 it's had a high pitched squeal. And now, 6 months later, I have the same problem with the plastic fan in the door that so many others have complained about. The noise is horrendous. Thankfully, I don't have the leaking others have reviewed about. [also hate the stove, so won't recommend Samsung]

Great Dishwasher at an affordable price

The Top Control Washer with Stainless Steel door is amazing. I've had the dishwasher about 5 weeks now and run it about twice a week. Generally, dishwashers in this price range tend to be loud and struggle to full clean products. I was a little concerned with the Top Control Dishwasher because the build quality is so so. The door is a
very thin piece of Stainless steel (feel like I could bend it with my pinky). The shelves feel a bit cheap too. However, I was absolutely shocked at how quiet the dishwasher is and how clean my dishes come out. I've put extremely dirty (not rinsed) dishes in and they still come out sparkly clean. Ive had no problems with the shelving at all - actually holds a lot of dishes! The heated dry option works very well - all dishes are dry and ready to be put away. The controls are easy to use and Ilove the fact they are placed on the top. Much easier to program for a tall guy like me.
I would recommend the Samsung Top Control Dishwasher to anyone in the market for an affordable dishwasher with excellent cleaning power!

I turned the dishwasher on for the very first cycle and the humming noise was so obnoxious that I couldn't run it any longer. I called for service and they said this was a common issue....SAD!!!!

Usually we buy things for style over substance, especially when it comes to appliances. However, I believe the opposite is the case here. I've never had dishes more clean in the five dishwashers I've had over the years. It does an amazing job with little to no pre washing. The issue is that the stainless steel outside needs more washing than the dishes sometimes. Every little spot of water will show up and basic cleaning actually leaves streaks. Only special stainless steel cleaner wipes (which can be quite expensive) help with cleaning the outside panel which feels very flimsy and thin. Other than that, I really do love this machine. It's super quiet (I a totally asked what was that soft, faint humming noise was coming from. I was standing right next to the machine and didn't realize it was even on. The inside is very spacious and fits most of our dishes and pots and pans (this was one of our biggest complaints of our old washers) It does tend to take a bit longer than my other machines but well worth the wait to have perfectly clear dishes with no spots on them.

I bought this one a couple a months ago and have had continual problems with it. Every couple of weeks a sensor goes off telling it that it hasn't fully drained. It sets in a error state for a couple of days before resetting itself. When it does actually work it won't completely dry the dishes. I really regret buying this machine.

Being an Insider, I have to admit one more time that every time I see my new beautiful dishwasher I smile as it is so clean and modern looking...
By now I have used it several times. The fact that you are able to change the racks, makes it very adaptable to my needs. I choose normal with heated dry circle, so the dishes come out clean, without any spots, and dry, just ready to take them out and put them away. I love it!!!
