we bought this dryer 2-3 years ago. just after the warranty expired, the heating element went out. my husband ordered a new one on 3/4/21 and replaced the bad one a few weeks later. it is now 3/9/22 and it has gone out again. samsung is great with phones, but not appliances.

appliance is broken and does not generate heat anymore and is out of warranty after one calendar year. multiple heating elements were installed to try and fix the issue but were not successful. there are better options available on the market.

contacted samsung they recommended a service tech at my expense. i told them no i will write a horrible but true review!

you cannot, like actually cannot shut off the very long, very loud, very annoying song that plays upon load completion. it plays a full 30 seconds. there is not a function like other models to disable it. dryer is besides that mediocre, performance could be suffering due to blocked ducting, will be cleaning that next week so hopefully these reviews can be updated. rating stands though, it's a really annoying dryer that gets the job done. wish i had taken my time and chose differently.

this is not a quality dryer. i bought my washer and dryer set 5 years ago, and have had to fix the heating element 4 times. samsung will not cover as it is out of warranty, and i have researched many people with this same issue who were told by samsung they cannot assist them either. samsung may be a big name with electronics but not with their washer and dryer sets. it cost me $250 every few months to fix this dryer, and it continues to happen over and over. i now have to scrap it and have an old used dryer until i can afford a new one again. this is super disheartening as i do not make a ton of money to be replacing such large expensive items. i will never ever buy samsung again. poor customer service, they are selling subprime products for an extreme price

i purchased this dryer new 4 years ago because i was done with all appliances breaking. well this has been the worst dryer ever. i have had nothing but problems. replaced the motor twice, heating element has gone out, won't spin on its own. i will never buy samsung again. they don't stand behind their product either.

steer clear of this product. i have had this dryer for about 4 years. in that time frame i have replaced 2 idler pulleys, 2 sets of drum rollers, and now for the second time in a year i am replacing the heating element. i refuse to use their repair services because i have found all the parts for half the price they would have charged. i highly recommend you look else where for appliances. when i bought this house it came with all samsung appliances. each of these appliances has had some type of issue that i've had to fix. the dryer is by far the worst one. i will never purchase a samsung appliance again!

i love almost every aspect of this dryer. the major deal breaker for me though, is the long chime and the fact that there is no way to turn it off! very disappointed in the making of this appliance!!! i have kids and they don't need to be awaken by a stupid chime every time i try to do laundry!

very unhappy with the quality of my samsung dryer. its not even 4 years old yet and i already have to replace all the rollers , at $39 a piece and there are 5 of them. i went to see if there was anything that could be done to help ease the cost of such an expensive repair but they sent me a link a phone number for a place to buy parts from. i guess i expected more from a company like samsung.

after purchasing a brand new samsung washer and dryer set, 3 months in both have malfunctioned. the washer had screen issues and wouldn't run on all modes. the dryer now will completely not turn on. a repair person couldn't come out until one week later. i do not recommend.

i have had to have the wheel for the belt replaced because it melted. the moisture sensor has stopped working so have to used timed drying and now there is no heat. so disappointing.

Had this dryer for a couple of years now and all of a sudden it turns on but when you hit start to do a cycle the drum won't turn. Called support and tried everything. I should have known better to buy one of their products. Had one of their LED TV and it died after 3 years. A man at Best Buy told me he has a lot of them doing that right after the warranty expires. Never going to buy any of your products again!!!

I purchased the red front loader washer and dryer. Unfortunately it was to big for my laundry space. I had to select a top loader and i am glad i chose this dryer. It dries quietly and actually sings a tune when its done!!!!

We bought this product just about 2 years ago on the dot and it already is done. The machine ran great and had no problems until this past week. It goes through the drying cycle fine but when it turns to the cooling mode, the heating element doesn't shut off. The unit gets so hot you can barley touch the outer shell. It continues to run like this until it is shut off manually by pressing the power button (fire hazzard). Got one error code about one week ago and it was HC which is incorrect heat or something. I am pretty handy so where the warranty was up after one year i wanted to fix it myself. We could barley find any information on this code and all everyone wanted to do was send a technician out.

I LOVED this dryer the first 6 to 12 months I had it. After that I started having issues. I have owned it 3 years and had someone out to fix it twice under warranty and now, less than a year after the warranty is up, the motor blows and another expensive fix. Needless to say, I am buying a new set and I will never touch a samsung appliance again. Between this and the exploding washer sitting next to it, I have no faith in the company when it comes to appliances anymore.

Bought this dryer brand new 2 years ago. Within the first 6 months I had the worst squeaking you could imagine! Called and got a repair man out and paid to have the PLASTIC pulley replaced. Worked fine for about her few months and then boom pulley goes out again and so does the heating element! Just had the repair man here yesterday for the 6th time in 2 years to fix it and he says the next time it breaks he won't come to fix! On top of that we have paid out of pocket for all repairs bc Samsung has told us it would be weeks for a tech and parts to be ordered. Who has time for that?!? DONT BUY!!!

Bought it at Lowe's about three years ago. Took forever to dry clothes. About three months ago, it started making a bumping, shattering sound. Then, about a week ago it started running like a well-oiled machine. And, then today it stopped drying altogether.

I'm sure there are other good Samsung products out there but this one I wouldn't classify as a good investment. The belt no longer has traction and drum no longer spins. dryer motor still works. This looks to be a hard fix.

We bought this dryer 2 years ago when our 6 year old Whirlpool dryer died. We were very happy until the idler pulley failed 13 months after purchase. After replacing the pulley it ran well for 9 months until the heating coil burned out. When we went with Samsung we thought we were purchasing a quality product with good reliability. We really like the features and look of the unit but hate that I have to keep spending money on fixing it. After researching this I am finding that these are common problems with this particular model. It seems that companies are no longer using quality parts. Really disappointing!

I just purchased this dryer a week ago and the first dryer delivered would not power on even after checking the breaker, power from multiple locations with a multimeter, and the previous dryer that I own which worked as soon as it was reconnected. I just received my replacement and the same problem of no power is happening.

I bought the set of matching washer and dryer.. washer is great! The dryer was until it suddenly stopped one day, only 18 months old. Samsung tech support was not helpful or empathetic to the fact their product did not last. They asked me to Power it off for a minute and back on... seriously??? Like I had not tried that already! I've checked the belt, it's fine. According to my issues it's the motor... so the motor is out on a dryer used one day a week and is only 18 mos old, and now I have to pay for repair because their product that's not even two years old, is faulty. Exact reason I stopped buying their TV's and phones because they last short periods of time!

Technology is ever changing. My dryer works as expected and is an upgrade. It has had two error codes that have rendered it useless as both I and the repair men had difficulty finding the fault. Once we found the error it was an easy fix just the not knowing was frustrating. Suggest a manual with how too diagnose.
