i have had this machine for three months and i have had to request service three separate times because the heat stops working. their larger size dryers are great but unfortunately this machine just does not function properly and the issues mentioned in other reviews have not been addressed. if you need to get a smaller washer and dryer i would recommend another brand.

the two of the control panel buttons have ceased functioning (dryness level and temp). as sensor dry on this unit is actually pretty useless, the loss of the temp button is actually a huge disappointment since we can no longer time dry easily at the temperature we'd like. the control panel and knob seems to be showing signs of condensation somehow and the bottom right corner of the unit appears to be leaking water onto the washer which is stacked underneath.
garbage product from a company i will no longer be patronizing. needing servicing so quickly into the life of a new dryer is unacceptable. will revisit after my service date, but won't be raising this review by more than a star, i'll tell you that.

purchased in july 2019, heating element broke in sept 2019. been dealing with samsung warranty/refund dept. for over 4 months. the worst experience dealing with any manufacturer....ever!! my issue still remains to be unresolved. had techs come out on 2 occasions. irreparable. 25+ hours on the phone with samsung (excludes time spent for tech visits) , having to haul my laundry offsite for 4 months....stay away from this product. i cannot advocate for any of samsung's product given the warranty/repair/refund nightmare i've been dealing with.

The dry sensor is a crappy feature. I just always put on time dry or things won't dry. And I have to dry multiple times on time dry. Doesn't dry as well as a regular dryer. Size is perfect. It's ok if you don't care about turning it on a million times to dry towels

i bought washer and dryer less than 1 year. i have had problems since last month. it takes forever to dry the clothes, shuts down by itself before the job is done, and worse the lints got clogged and once it was smokey. i called samsung for repair service. they sent a technician to fix it. the same problem happened again and again. manufacture defect? my friends and i are tired of this dryer and reaching samsung. it's hard to reach them, takes forever. many times the calls got disconnected. don't waste your $, time and energy buying this dryer.

it overheats, trips the thermostat & won't dry. samsung fixed it when it was under warranty, now i have to pay to have it fixed every time it stops working. very disappointing for an expensive dryer.

this dryer has never worked well. it was expensive due to all the updated "bells and whistles" but it can't seem to do the basic function of drying clothes in under 2 hours.

This is great for a second set of laundry usage, but wish thr dryer was a bit bigger since I need to make sure I don't overfill it. We have a pool outside so it would be great to be able to shove all our towels in but for our family of 5 it can take a bit longer to dry because it's a compact machine.

My old dryer took a really long time to dry, but it worked well. After about eight years, I needed a replacement and not only does this dryer look great but it dries much faster than my Bosch. The washer cleans well also. I haven't attempted to try very delicate items yet, but there seems to be a delicate cycle so hopefully that will work well.

The dryer dries well, but you need to make sure you select the right cycle for what you're drying. The dryer looks amazing oh, and I couldn't find anything that quite looks this good. A lot of features are packed into this unit.

When it works it's great but it never works. Faulty heating element. The Samsung tech that was sent to fix it told us it must be an electrical problem with the outlet it was plugged into. Hired our own appliance tech who right away new it was an issue with the heating element and Samsung was well know for it. We only had the dryer for 2 months when this happened and Samsung refused it help us. Stay away.

I bought this junk at Home Depot and it had to be redelivered several times due to the dryer being damaged.
The dryer broke four times, including right now it's screeching unbelievably.
Why is this so overpriced just because it's an inch or two smaller than the standard size?
Samsung, I like your phones, but if you're going to charge a lot of money of something that simply heats and spins, PLEASE MAKE IT A BETTER QUALITY.

The good news is that this is one of the few vented compact dryers on the market. The bad news is that it is built very poorly. 9 months into ownership, the drum started making a squeaking noise as it spun. After 6+ hours of phone calls with Samsung, a technician came to our home and fixed the problem, for now, though he believes it may resurface because "these dryers just aren't built that well." One year in, my wife and I are considering scrapping these units and starting anew. I'd suggest that you stay away.

Recommended by Consumer Reports; they were right. High capacity, quiet, well constructed. I bought it for a boat and it dries beach towels, etc. like a full size. Great machine. My wife is so happy

This dryer has a design flaw where the heating element burns out very easily. This unit broke four times within the first 2 months of use. As it's under the manufacturer's warranty we were able to get it fixed however a week later it's broken again. Very frustrating and who has time to wait around for a tech every week? I am now trying to get a refund or at the very least a replacement with a more durable model. Samsung is giving me the run around. I hope they will eventually work with me to resolve this issue.

our space was very small and we needed a stackable washer and dryer. The delivery guys were wonderful getting both appliances into a very tight spot. Our tenant is very pleased with the new washer and dryer and a happy tenant is a good tenant.
