Extended warranties are usually very inexpensive and can save you thousands in the future. Some can even cover extra costs that result, such as cost of food that spoils when your fridge dies. Failed microwave great people

Please help people to register lg products and make the company better. Our refrigerator compressor failed. Under warranty replaced. Our microwave failed. The parts should have been under warranty and we expect our 700$ back because of the genuinely awesome customer service. They employ genuine people. Help them do their jobs.

My first and last LG product

I bought this microwave in November 20 20. I did not find an extended warranty as I did not think I would need it. I thought wrong as it didnt even last me four years. I called a repair service for LG and they told me that it would cost me more to repair it than it would buy a new one. So I bought a new one but suffice to say it was not an LG.

Spontaneously stopped working after life test

I moved in 3 months ago prior owner purchased this microwave in 2014. I initially loved it the sensor cooking functions were useful. However about a week ago it started doing a life test spontaneously and never heated up again after that. Troubleshooting got me nowhere and it is out of warranty so a repair would cost more than a replace. It felt like there was some internal time bomb for it to explode after ten years so Im replacing but very annoyed

Great Customer Service Defective Product

I bought this Microwave from Costco and had it installed by Costco about a year and half ago. The microwave was working just fine for about a year and then after its touch screen has been working on and off. Sometimes the touch screen was not responding. Then I called Costco as they provide warranty for two years. Costco arranged with LG and they replaced the Touchpad Control Panel with brand new OEM part After a couple of month I had similar problem. Again they replaced the Touchpad Control Panel a few weeks ago and has been working so far. Other than that the Microwave is really good. We like it. Also LG and the Costco warranty people are very nice. The technicians who fixed my microwave are very professional and know what they are doing. I keep getting a follow up call from LG to make sure I am happy.

Coiling fan failed while under warranty and is still not repaired after one and a half months. All communication with LG went unanswered after the problem was handed over to a third party for repair. Previous LG microwave same model had a display failure that rendered it unusable. A LG refrigerator failed after 7 years and LG sent a third party to tell me it wasnt worth fixing. I will not purchase another LG product.

Large Powerful Microwave

Very large and powerful. Has many features that I dont use but could. The one negative is the over the stove halogen light is dim even on the high setting and if left on for a long time gets very hot. The microwave looks very nice.

Problems from the Start

Ive had this microwave a year now. Right from the start I had an issue where I would put the cook time in and push start and nothing would happen except the timer would count down. See attached video I hope it attaches It took numerous re-trys to actually get the microwave to run. Right away I called the vendor I purchased from and I was told to call LG and set up a service call. I took a video of the problem too. I did the service call I think it goes to India because the technician had a thick accent which was hard to understand. She basically told me to unplug plug and reset. This did not good so an appointment was set up but I was warned that if the microwave didnt indicate a fault when the service person was there I would still have to pay for the service call. The Technician came to my home and of course the microwave didnt act up while he was there. Basically he told me I was pushing the buttons too hard and not in the center of the button. Thankfully he didnt charge me. It is now a year since I purchased this microwave and I continue to have the same problem but I have discovered the problem. When shutting the microwave door it is necessary to lift up the door as you shut it. Obviously there is a contact not being made correctly in the latch mechanism. As long as I do this the microwave starts every time. You know I shouldnt have to do this This is a poorly made product and I have a feeling LG knows this. Im so unhappy The warranty period is over but it doesnt matter. I plan to rip this thing out and deliver back to the vendor who doesnt back up their products. Sorry LG this experience has soured me on buying any more products from your line. Its your loss Im a retiree with a lot of money to spend and Im updating my whole house

I bought this as a replace to the initial one I bought 5 years ago when I did my kitchen renovation. I wasnt happy to have to replace a microwave after only 5 years but it couldnt be fixed. I wanted it to match my other appliances so I got another one. This new one is ok. My only complaint is the effort it takes for the buttons to register a selection. IMO its too hard.
