Does the basics well but is annoying to use

Heats quickly and is reasonably quiet but it has three annoying problems. 1. There are no numbers to enter time or heat level you have to keep tapping on 30 second increments or swipe your finger across a slider to add or subtract time. It is imprecise and gimmicky. 2. When you pull the door open the whole microwave slides across the counter. You need to hold the oven with one hand while you pull the door with the other. Its awkward and cumbersome to put a dish in. 3. It has no convenient timer to set an alarm for other kitchen chores like when you want to saute for 10 minutes or let dough rise 30 minutes etc. My old microwave had that and I really missed it when I got this one

Display doesnt hold up cant use w/o a timer

Didnt last long before LEDs started going out within 3 years digital display is unreadabe. No warranty for it. Function wise you cant input time its 30sec or 10sec incramemts so of you need 1:15 its 110 or 120. Its OK for a microwave but If I knew I would only get 2-3yr I would have gotten the cheap one at Walmart

We bought this microwave just over a year ago. Within the first year the timer and heating element stopped. After a 2 hour phone call with support it started working. Then just after the one year mark the unit stopped heating. After another multi hour conversation we were told the heating element needed to be replaced and LG would replace the part but not the labor. They gave us 3 phone numbers of repair services. The first number we called stated Weve been trying to get off their LG phone list for 5 years. Terrible product that they do not stand behind. Never LG again.

Best microwave Ive owned so far

Best microwave I have ever owned. The construction is top notch. Its also quite nice looking. It heats things up very fast and I uniformly. The easy clean up interior is simply wonderful The cooking plate stays firmly in place so theres no constant battle trying to reset the plate back in its proper position. The one minor issue Im not thrilled about is that you always have to select your desired cook time from 0 to whatever. I miss the more typical one button touch for minutes one through 6. Also the stop- start keys on the outside do not light up momentarily so if you are in a dimly lit room or at night it can be hard to locate where they are. Especially when youre not used to a new and different appliance. However that being said I wouldnt let that stop me from buying this oven again and Im glad I did. So its by no means a deal breaker. Its my first LG product and Im certainly going to consider the brand for a variety of future appliance needs

Ordered this microwave twice and both were DOA

I ordered two of these microwaves off the LG.com website. Both microwaves arrived DOA defective. The first was extremely noisy with a rattling noise inside. The second microwave wouldnt work unless you held the door closed. You could hear an audible click when you held the closed so the contacts were not adjusted correctly. LG RMA process is an absolute nightmare so Ive been without a working micowave for 2 months. Ive logged more that 20 calls to handle both returns. I had to open 2 RMA tickets box up each unit then return to a FedEx dropoff location. Im a fan of LG products but I will NEVER purchase directly from them again. What a complete waste of my time. They received the last RMA 11 days ago and no confirmation from them nor have they credited my credit card. I ordered a Toshiba from Amazon and its working great.

We bought this July of 2022. I t seems d to work well for the first few months before it began to show worrisome signs. In the late fall it stopped heating and allowing time input. This was somehow resolved over a 2 hour phone call. Recently it stopped heating again. After another long phone call we were told that it needed the major component involved in heating replace. They gave us 3 numbers where repairs could be made. One has never answered or returned calls. The second said theyve been trying to get off LGs phone list for 5 years. I am unlikely to ever buy LG products again.

Nice Microwave strange turntable assist

Only had it for a few weeks but so far its working great. Smart modern appearance. The amusing melody is strange but we are having fun with it. Sounds like an ice cream truck is coming down your street : Hardly loud enough to wake everyone up. Powerful we are having to adjust all our cooking times etc. and we are getting used to the dual control panels but its not a deal breaker. Only annoying thing is the interesting design of the plastic turntable assist . It only has three wheels and 3 sliders which rattle around unless the food has some weight to it. Wish it had 6 wheels that would added about $1 to the cost im guessing :

Great Oven

Bought a couple of weeks ago great appearance fast heating a fantastic defroster. Only drawbacks are that is shows fingerprints prominently on the outside control panel and sometimes the turntable makes a scrapping noise probably due to the slides on the truntable roller.

very simple to use

Love everything about this microwave and ease of use except the turntable ring. It has 3 wheels and 3 stationary tabs that arent as big as the wheels so it rattles loud every time when in use. I purchased a different ring with only 3 wheels and no tabs no more rattling. I think LG should change the ring.

It has the capacity and power in a small package

After considerable research I selected this oven for its 1200W microwave power 1.5 cu.ft capacity internal light and turntable with the right outside dimensions. The slide timer is easy to use. Negative reviews correctly called out its slightly louder sound level it is a throbbing growl along with creaks from the turntable - not a problem. A couple of reviews of older units said it was not well vented allowing residual steam to cause rust and peeling interior paint - so I leave the door slightly open after use. All things considered I like my new LG microwave oven.

Very Nice Microwave

I recently purchased the LMC1575BD mircowave and love the looks of this microwave. The settings are easy to understand and use. My only issue is that the microwave turntable occassionally makes a grinding/rubbing sound while cooking.
