Cummins Appliance has merged with ABW Appliances to become ABW's sixth location and first Baltimore store. Founded in 1928, three generations of Cummins provided quality appliances to neighboring families and businesses. Building on nearly a century of service to the community, Cummins begins a new chapter as ABW Appliances Pikesville.
"We're doing this to improve service, improve turnaround time, and increase product availability to better serve our customers," says Howard Cummins. "But," he adds, "I won't miss the early mornings and late nights."
Howard and his furry assistant, Teddy Bear, were well-loved personalities within the Baltimore community for decades. After a year of working with ABW to ensure a smooth transition, Howard finally retired in April 2022.
Like Cummins Appliance, ABW Appliances is locally owned and founded by family. ABW's mission is to provide products that power home, a better way.
